Are you a piper or drummer wanting to to improve your skills? Do you know someone who is? The Clan Matheson Society New Zealand branch is giving a grant of $500 to help someone attend this year’s summer school run by the Royal New Zealand Pipe Bands Association.
Preference will be given to someone with Matheson connections, though that’s not essential, and you have to be able to play ‘Green Hills of Tyrol’ (or similar). And you’ll have to be in quick as the deadline for enrolment is 1 November.
The summer school will be held over five days in January, with international and local tutors taking part. Check out the website for details, and please spread the word.
