International Clan Matheson gathering
It’s now less than a year until Mathesons will gather in Scotland for the first time in 7 years. What an opportunity to plan a UK holiday with a Matheson event included.
The gathering will run from Saturday 20 to Tuesday 23 July 2024, spread over two places. The first two days will be in Lochalsh and will include a visit to the Lochcarron Highland Games at Attadale on the first day. The second two days will be on the picturesque Isle of Skye.

Plan your travel early, accommodation and car hire in particular.
To help with planning we’ll be asking for expressions of interest in December 2023, firmer numbers in February 2024 and final numbers in about April 2024 (email chair@clanmatheson.org.nz if you’re considering participation).

There are plenty of Highland games and other Scottish-themed events coming up this summer. As plans firm up we’ll notify here and in our Facebook group which events Clan Matheson New Zealand will be represented at, so you can come along to meet fellow Mathesons.

Saturday 27 January Turakina Highland Games. The Turakina games are thought to be the oldest games still being held in New Zealand.
