We’re sad to advise that the well-known academic and church leader Peter Matheson died on Monday 14 April, aged 86. After arriving in New Zealand from Scotland via Australia more than 40 years ago, Peter made an impact in academia, church life and peace and justice activism. Our condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

Jenni Matheson co-founded EatKinda in 2020, making plant-based icecream. The company has expanded rapidly, mainly through social media marketing, and is now struggling to scale up its New Zealand manufacturing. The company is now switching its focus to the US market, where it says there are more sophisticated manufacturing facilities and openness to innovation.
Andrew Matheson was in Shenzhen recently to collect an award for the BYD electric car dealership he works at in Auckland.
