Wanaka
John Wade Matheson (1912-1966). Son of David Matheson, who Matheson Crescent in Albert Town, Wanaka, is named after, and Ida Jamieson Matheson (nee Ironside).
David is buried in a plot without a headstone near John’s grave. Records describing the location of Ida’s grave in Wanaka cemetery have been lost. John was the brother of Charles Irvine Matheson, who is buried in Forli Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in Italy.
