There’s a new post about Tartan Day on this website.  Some interesting facts: New Zealanders and Australians celebrate this differently from the rest of the world, and Tartan Day didn’t originate in Scotland.  In fact it’s not very ancient at all, though it does recall ancient traditions.

Tartan Day in New Zealand will be celebrated on Monday 1 July. The Scottish Clans Association in Auckland is holding a Tartan Day commemoration service to mark this event. The service will be at St Andrew’s First Presbyterian Church (where else?) in Lower Symonds Street, Auckland, on Sunday 30 June at 10 am.

All are welcome
